Clea Benson is managing editor for policy news at POLITICO. She was previously deputy editor for POLITICO Pro and editor of the financial services team.

Before joining POLITICO, she covered financial regulation and federal housing policy at Bloomberg News. She has also written about politics, government and economics as a reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sacramento Bee and Congressional Quarterly.

Clea coordinates POLITICO’s newsroom internships and runs the Pipeline Committee, a group of journalists who work to increase diversity in the newsroom.
