POLITICO’s diversity and inclusion efforts expand on the work initiated years ago by the editorial Pipeline Committee, which has helped advance newsroom diversity throughout the D.C. area, especially through the POLITICO Journalism Institute. It also has helped expand The POLITICO Fellows, editorial internships and related initiatives. Through these efforts, our editors and reporters are training the next generation of journalists and making D&I gains in our own newsroom as well. Our broader initiatives are driven by POLITICO’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which gives voice to all employees through surveys, events and other platforms.
