Karey Van Hall is managing editor for news, overseeing POLITICO’s editorial operation, including breaking news, daily enterprise, and planning. She joined the company in March 2015 as news editor, just as the historic campaign season was gearing up. Prior to POLITICO, she was at Reuters for more than 10 years, starting as a regulatory reporter and leaving the newsroom as acting bureau chief. Van Hall is a native of North Carolina, and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a major in journalism and a minor in business.
