Kim Bryson is POLITICO’s editorial director of production and copyediting, overseeing a team of digital producers and the copy desks of the POLITICO newspaper and E&E News. She joined POLITICO in March 2022 after a 16-year stint in science journalism, managing production and editing for Chemical & Engineering News. She started her career not as a journalist but as an engineer, graduating from the University of Delaware in 2001 with a degree in chemical engineering. She lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband and two kids.
