Leading from the Ground Up: Women Remaking Communities

Join POLITICO’s Women Rule on Thursday, September 15, 2022 for conversations focused on creating and leading sustainable, healthy and inclusive communities. Our Member Exchange panel, featuring Women Rule: The Exchange Business and Impact leaders, will focus on boosting gender and racial health equity. Women are the primary health care decision-makers in their homes, and yet they are underserved by the health system: Just one percent of health-care research and development focuses on female-specific conditions; implicit bias in the system means providers are less likely to listen to women when they complain of certain symptoms; and the U.S. ranks 46th in the world in maternal mortality. Our Exchange members will discuss what governments, corporations, non-profits and the medical world must do to improve outcomes for women.

Following our Member Exchange Panel, a keynote interview moderated by POLITICO national political reporter, Elena Schneider, will explore the most pressing issues facing women in their communities and women in leadership roles in any sector are best positioned to solve these problems.
