Natalie Allison

Natalie Allison is a national political reporter covering Senate campaigns for POLITICO.

She most recently reported on politics for The Tennessean in Nashville, covering Gov. Bill Lee’s administration and the state Legislature.

Her reporting at the newspaper led to the ouster of a former Tennessee House speaker who resigned in scandal. It also exposed hundreds of millions of dollars of unused federal block grants intended to help low-income working families in the state.

She reported on Tennessee’s 2018 and 2020 U.S. Senate races and the 2018 gubernatorial election — as well as mass shootings, deadly tornadoes and floods, state executions, rallies, riots and Nashville’s 2020 Christmas Day bombing.

A North Carolina native, Natalie graduated from Elon University and began her reporting career covering cops and local city government at her hometown paper.

She now lives in D.C.
