Schumer's Domestic Agenda

In today's Politico, I've got an interview with New York Senator Chuck Schumer, in which he expresses something approaching pity for Hillary Clinton's celebrity "straitjacket" and also says he thinks (sorry, John Edwards) that 2008 won't be about the war:

"I think Iraq will not be as strong an issue in the 2008 elections.... I think the surge will fail and the president will have no choice but to begin removing troops."

Also, he's got a new book out that's his version of what Dems should be talking about.
