Women and Tech: Seizing the Next Revolution

The world is living through a new era of innovation in tech, with significant leaps in everything from digital processing to artificial intelligence to telecommunications to the blockchain.

Women, particularly women of color and women from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds, have historically been locked out of the tech world. But this new tech revolution could be an opportunity for women to get in on the ground floor of a new chapter, and for society to make sure women are both participating in this fast-moving era and have access to all it offers. From ensuring widespread broadband access to lowering structural barriers to female entrepreneurs and innovators to tackling discrimination in STEM jobs, how can society and the government make sure that women have the opportunities and resources to shape the country’s tech future?
