David Siders

David Siders is a national political correspondent for POLITICO.

He previously was a senior writer for The Sacramento Bee, covering California state politics and Gov. Jerry Brown. During his time at The Bee, Siders focused on elections, the state budget and the politics of climate change.

He reported on the 2010 and 2014 gubernatorial campaigns and on presidential campaigns in California and Nevada. He covered Brown’s climate change initiatives from across the state and from France, Italy, Mexico and China.

Siders graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and from the University of Westminster in London. He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and two daughters.
