Maura Forrest joined POLITICO in January 2020 to report on Canadian energy and environmental policy. She came to POLITICO from the National Post, where she spent two and a half years reporting on environmental policy, Indigenous affairs and immigration. Previously, she lived and worked for two years in Whitehorse, Yukon, reporting on territorial politics and the mining industry for a local newspaper, the Yukon News. She now lives in Ottawa.
